How are amperes measured?

Amperes, which measure the flow of electric current, are specifically measured using an ammeter. This instrument is designed to allow current to flow through it while simultaneously providing a reading of that current in amperes. The ammeter is connected in series in a circuit to accurately gauge the amount of current passing through a particular point.
